Taking & Choosing the Best Picture for Your Replica: A Quick & Easy Guide

Example Photo Submission Guide LittleHomeReplicas

So you’re ready to order a little replica of your home or business. Great! But how can you make sure it looks its best? Here’s a quick guide on helping you take and choose the best image to submit for your custom replica.

Following these steps will help us design a true-to-life representation of your home, but don’t worry, we review each submitted image and will reach out if there are any issues or suggestions on how to capture a better shot.

Please note, if you plan to submit an image of a well-known famous building, home, landmark, etc., we may not be able to produce a replica of it for legal reasons. Certain locations prohibit the use of their building’s likeness in commercial settings. Feel free to contact us if you have questions.

Image Guidelines & Requirements:

  1. All submitted homes/images must be your own, or one that you have permission to photograph and use.
  2. Use as high of a quality as possible. Most current smartphones will work just fine. The more detailed your image, the more detailed your replica will be.
  3. Take a step back. Capturing from the street is preferred and usually provides the best visual while still capturing the entire home.
  4. Do not take your image in a wide-angled or panorama mode.
  5. Capture at a head-on direction versus at an angle. Center your shot on the middle of the home, or on/near the front door. Our models turn out the best in a centered head-on format.
  6. Ultimately, your final replica will look nearly identical to your image in terms of alignment and features. In most cases, decorations, landscaping, and other objects captured in your image will also be included in your model. If you’re happy with how your photo looks, then you will also be happy with your replica.
